Originally from Mayiladuthurai, Kanimozhi Santhanam's artistic journey truly blossomed after moving to Chennai following her marriage. What began as a personal passion soon evolved into a lifelong pursuit of mastery. Driven by a deep interest in traditional Indian art, she sought out experts to learn the intricate techniques of Tanjore Painting, eventually completing her Diploma in the field.

Today, Kanimozhi is a versatile artist proficient in over 40 different art forms. Her expertise spans a vast range of traditional and contemporary styles.

Areas of Expertise & Training

Currently conducts painting classes at home for students from all walks of life — including students, teachers, engineers, doctors, IT professionals, co-artists, and NRIs visiting Chennai from London, USA, Canada, Australia, Dubai, Singapore, and more.

Traditional Arts: Tanjore Painting, Glass Painting, Rajasthan Glasswork, Meenakari, Madhubani, Warli, Patachitra, and Nirmal Painting.

Creative Mediums: Coffee Painting, Kerala Mural, Rajasthan Miniature, Velvet & Fabric Painting, and Oil Painting.

With over 25 years of experience, Kanimozhi has transitioned from a student to a celebrated mentor. From her home studio in Koyambedu, Chennai, she conducts art classes for a diverse range of students—from children to professionals like doctors and engineers. She believes that art knows no boundaries and has the power to bring people from all walks of life together.

Her works have reached a global audience, with sales extending to art lovers in Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, Dubai, London, and the USA. Her creations are also featured in government and private art galleries across Chennai.
